What Are Automated Rules?

Automated Rules allow you to dynamically set values for key product attributes in your Google Merchant Center feed β€” without manual editing. These rules help streamline optimization and ensure compliance with Google's feed requirements.

How to Add an Automated Rule

  1. Choose GMC Sync in Menu

    • Click β€œProduct Setting” from sidebar menu

    • Click "+ Add Rule" button from the Automated Rules section.

A dropdown will appear showing all the supported fields you can automate.

  1. Choose a Rule Type

    • Available options include:

      • Age Group

      • Custom Label 0–4

      • Excluded Destination

      • Gender

      • Shipping Label

  2. Configure Rule Logic

    • After selecting a rule, define the logic for when and how it applies.

    • Example:

      • If product tag = β€œKids” β†’ Set Age Group = β€œKids”

      • If vendor = β€œNike” β†’ Set Custom Label 0 = β€œBrand_Nike”

  3. Save the Rule

    • Once the rule is set, click Save to apply it.

    • The rule will be used during the next product sync.
